I have rolling and dented acne scars. They tend to be hypopigmented. My face is thin and this isn’t helpful to looking young. I have had botox and fillers in the past. 2 IPL lasers. 3 fractional lasers. More re ently I have had 1 microneedling with prp and 1 with hyaluronic acid. 1 more scheduled. I feel discouraged. Will anything improve my scars? They age my face. I have very few actual wrinkles. No smoking or drinking. At the end of hope, self esteem and my budget. Any suggestions??

Options for Severe Acne Scars

Hi and thank you for your question! It seems that you have tried most treatment options for acne scar. While each patient is different and an in-person consultation and examination are needed for accurate assessment, most of my patients see good results with combination of fillers such as Bellafill and Fractional CO2 laser (or micro-needling if budget is a main concern). I understand that you feel discouraged so far, but the reality is that often times in cosmetic medicine, our goal is improvement over baseline and not necessarily complete resolution. I recommend that you do a follow up with your physician and ask them to compare your picture at baseline with the current one to see if points of improvement can objectively be identified. Since this is often the case, it can provide you with the encouragement to continue with the treatments that work. I hope it helps and good luck!
