8 days after 1 ml of Juvederm, I’m not seeing any difference after lip filler. Thoughts?
A patient Staff asked 6 years ago Hello, I got lip filler for the first time 8 days ago and I am not seeing any difference. 1 ml of juvederm Volift was used on me. My lips are still slightly bruised amd tender when I press them together. Also, I am seeing an “M” like shadow or like ontop of my lip. Why could this have occured? Thankyou in advance

Hi and thank you for your question! I am glad to see that you have a before picture, but ideally we need more pictures taken before and after from front, sides as well as 45 degree to be able to accurately capture the 3D shape and volume of lips in 2D pictures. Generally speaking, 1 cc of hyaluronic acid fillers such as Juvederm is a good starting point for lips to avoid overfilling, but 8 days is still a little bit too early to judge the results. I highly recommend that you allow 2 weeks to pass from the date of injections to make sure all remaining swelling and bruising are gone and at that time if any concerns are left, please do a follow up with your doctor.
