Botox alternatives that don’t test on animals?

Hi and thank you for your question! Botox has been tested on animals during its development to establish its safety and efficacy for human use, and regulatory agencies require ongoing tests to ensure the same. I have heard that Allergan has been working to develop a cell-based assay to test Botox and once approved, this will greatly replace the need for ongoing animal testing. I suggest that you contact Allergan to see where they are with development of the new method and hopefully we will have it soon! In the meanwhile, unfortunately I am not aware of any alternative that does not undergoing such animal testing. I hope it helps and good luck!
