Can I achive a more square face shape with fillers only?
A patient Staff asked 8 years ago I have oval face shape, and i want it more square face shape. I know stronger jawline and changing mandible angle can achive my goal. My question if i can achive my goal with fillers only? What the costs for cosmetic procedure like this? Note: I uploaded a picture to illustrate my goal (before and after), plus there are pictures of my face shape.

Hi and thank you for your question! Yes, we can create a more defined and angular jaw line with injection of fillers in the area. Another contributing factor to the shape of jaws is the bulk of masseter muscles. In patients who do not want to have a square jaw we do jaw slimming with Botox to reduce the bulk of masseter muscles. In your case, any types of exercise that can increase the bulk of master muscles can help with achieving a more square jaw. A good example is chewing gum! I hope it helps and good luck!
