Is Bellafill also used to treat acne scars on the forehead?
A patient Staff asked 8 years ago I understand that it is FDA approved for treatment of scars on the cheeks, but can it also be used for forehead scars? Or does this pose a higher risk of complications? Thanks!

Hi and thank you for sharing your question here! Bellafill can be used at almost any locations for acne scar as long as it is deflated (not pitted) and its shape can be changed by pulling the skin. Upon examining the scar, if it is determined that filler is indicated, Bellafill can be a good choice. The majority of the time, these types of scars are found on the cheeks, temples and around the chin. Hence, my recommendation is that try to find a highly experienced physician to examine your acne scars and see if you are a good candidate for fillers, including Bellafill.
