Jawline/Chin filler has given me a fat face and a double chin/jowls. Should I have them dissolved?
A patient Staff asked 6 years ago Had 1ml of dermal filler injected into my jawline and chin. I noticed instantly that instead of a more defined shape, my face looks chubbier in the lower cheeks and I have a pouch under my chin. At 1 month follow up, Dr advised that it will settle after 2 months and my face is adjusting to the Botox we did prior to the fillers. Is this true or should I have them dissolved?

Hi and thank you for your question! An objective and detailed comparison of pictures taken before your filler treatment versus current ones taken from same angles and with similar lighting should be able to determine all the changes and issues – preexisting and new ones. If the picture comparison supports the negative changes after the filler, you can have it dissolved/adjusted with enzyme injection. In general the face should adjust to filler and Botox within a month or so, and I don’t expect much more changes beyond that time. I hope it helps and good luck!
