Restylane not dissipating 19 months out; Vitrase hasn’t worked yet
A patient Staff asked 8 years ago 41. Had 1 vial of resty and 1 vial of restysilk 19 mos ago. Felt overfilled (changed proportions of my face). 10 mos out stil feel the same so a A new Dr has administer 3 rounds vitrase / hylarinidase very conservatively to try to dissolve but hasn’t made a dramatic difference (or any at all). I can feel what I think is a jelly-like substance in injection area and below in jowls. Could this be something other than resty? Should I be concerned about collagen hytrophy ir scar tissue?bow many shots vitrase?

Hi and thank you for your question! It is highly unlikely for Restylane to persist for 19 months and even if any of it is left by that time, hyaluronidase should fully dissolve it. I don’t think your issue is related to Restylane and it might be related to other conditions (or possibly due to other fillers such as Voluma that last longer). I hope it helps and good luck!
