Under eye bag and red in color plus dark circles. Is there a solution other than surgery?
A patient Staff asked 8 years ago I have under eye bag, red in color plus dark circles. I tried many natural remedies proposed on internet but no improvement. I checked with a doctor and he told me that there is no solution other than removing the fat under my eyes. He said this is purely a hereditary issue. But I don’t see this problem on any of my immediate families. I stare most of the time on PC and don’t sleep 8 hours. Is there any solution other than surgery.

Hi and thank you for your question! You can try some skin brightening treatments, but we need to see you first to determine the issue you have is really redness (in which case in can be vascular in nature) or hyperpigmentation (which can be treated with lasers or skin care products). Regardless, you do have hollows under the eyes which can be effectively treated with injection of appropriate hyaluronic acid fillers. As the volume loss is corrected, the darkness will be greatly improve as it is often exacerbated with the shadow. I hope it helps and good luck!
