What type of laser or treatment will help my skin?
A patient Staff asked 7 years ago My skin needs a refresher. I have redness, brown spots, and some acne. What laser or treatment could help refresh my skin?

Hi and thank you for your question! There are many options that are available and it all depends on your desired results, history of prior treatments, budget, amount of downtime you are comfortable with and more, so I highly recommend that you do a consultation with an experienced physician to see which options are best for you. Generally speaking, in a case like you, IPL might be a good treatment to help with the redness and brown spots. Another good treatment to consider is microdermabrasion which can also help with redness and brown spots as well as acne. Both these treatments should be viewed as maintenance options and there really is no single treatment that can address all issues with just one session and it is important that to consider an ongoing skin maintenance treatment plan. Last but not least, please make sure you are wearing good quality SPF 30+ sunblock throughout the day. I hope it helps and good luck!
