I am searching for the right non-invasive, non surgical (maybe that’s redundant?) method to tighten the skin around my mouth and tighten my jowls. There are too many choices! Ultherapy, Radio frequency (fractora?), pelleve, what else!? I’m almost 42 but not ready for anything that requires a knife.
Hi and thank you for your question! As you mentioned, there are many treatments that can help with skin tightening and the choice of the treatment often comes down to your own and physician’s preference as almost all of these treatments work and offer some results, while none being the ultimate treatment that can have the definitive edge over others. In short, they all work to some extent, and they all require a series of treatments for best results. As long as the treatment is FDA approved (more precisely FDA cleared), you should be ok to start and see how far it can take you and then if needed, switch to other options. At my clinic I usually use radiofrequency (Venus Freeze) and most patients tend to see good results as long as they can commit themselves to a series of 6-8 treatments. I hope ut helps and good luck!
