Im 23 yrs old, didn’t have much fat to begin with. I just got 2 vials of kybella a couple days ago, I’ve been watching videos and saw that other peoples swelling did not go completely down after 3 weeks. My concern is that 3 weeks after my scheduled second treatment (two more vials), I have an event to go to. Is that enough time for the swelling to go down completely? Is there anything I can do to make the swelling go down more quickly? I’ve been staying hydrated and getting sleep.
Hi and thank you for your question! Swelling is very common after Kybella as it induces inflammation in the treated areas. Most of the swelling is expected to resolve within 2 weeks after injection, but in you case if you do not want to take any risks and the event is 3 weeks after the 2nd round, you can always postpone the 2nd round to after the event so that you will have peace of mind. I hope it helps and good luck!
