I was considering Kybella at first but was told by several doctors that it’s not actually that effective. then i planned on getting regular submental liposuction, but the cost is higher than I expected. Now I am wondering if CoolSculpting is a good option. Is it more effective than Kybella, do you think? Is it less effective than regular liposuction? For context, I am 21 with good skin elasticity and I am not overweight, I just have a bit of excess fat under my chin that I want to eliminate.
Hi and thank you for your question! The recommended treatment for double chin can vary from patient to patient and it really needs an in-person consultation (or at least pictures), but based on your description, you do appear to be a good candidate for Kybella as a non-surgical option. Specially with smaller amount of excessive far, Kybella allows us more precise treatment (since your doctor can carefully choose the exact sites of injections) as opposed to a treatment such as CoolSculpting which offers less precision. I hope it helps and good luck!
