Made the mistake of going to a cheap injector… don’t know what they used, overtime it did go away but there was still lumps in my lips and realized I had a beak. Went to a real doctor, he dissolved it TWICE. Went down but not all of it, he used restylane L to even it out avoiding the middle. I never got the lips I wanted he just evened it out. I’m looking to get injected the next few weeks. I keep massaging these lumps but they’re not going anywhere.
Hi and thank you for sharing your question and pictures here! As you experienced, the skill and experience of the physician is a key in achieving good results. Hyaluronic acid fillers generally respond very well to enzyme injection to dissolve them, but if you are still having bumps after two rounds of enzyme injection, there is a possibility that some other types of fillers were used initially. Unfortunately some inexperienced injectors make the mistake of using fillers such as Radiesse for lips, which is not recommended and can leave the patients with lumps, etc. I highly recommend that you try your best to figure out the exact filler used initially, and then based on that work with your current physician to come up with a plan. Some lumps might not be removed completely, but we can definitely make great improvements with the right choice of filler and good skills. I hope it helps and good luck!
