I received some fillers this past Saturday on my vermillion border, will this smooth out?
A patient Staff asked 8 years ago Vermillion line stiffness and ridges are too noticeable .. it’s only been 5 days but I notice the ridges on the top lip that look like \ / (if that makes any sense . My question is .. will this smooth out in a few days or weeks since no product was injected in the red area? And also the hardness of the line – will that subside as well..

Hi and thank you for your question! It might take up to two weeks for the swelling to completely go away following filler injection, but in most patient, we expect to see improvement from day 2-3 and from there it is expected to gradually get better. In your case, if you are not seeing any improvements or you notice additional signs such as pain and tenderness, heat or fluctuation, then you should do a follow up with your physician right away. Otherwise and if the swelling is improving, then you can wait for two weeks period and then do the follow up if needed. I hope it helps and good luck!
