Seeking most efficient treatment for facial acne scars – subscicion, PRP, TCA Cross, CO2, Erbium?
A patient Staff asked 7 years ago Background: Female, 32 yrs old, acne scars on forehead, in between eye brows, bridge of nose, chin and cheeks. Appears to be mostly rolling on forehead and boxcar on cheeks. Scars are approx. up to 8 yrs old. Few new scars. One deep scar between eyebrows. Pictures taken 3 weeks post one PRP facial with some PRP injections. I understand most MDs recommend a tailored tx of several methods. I am looking for a direction as to which txs combinations could be my tailored approach. Thank you very much!

Hi and thank you for your question! Most of the treatments you mentioned can help with acne scarring to some extent, although PRP is not that high on my list. In you case, my recommendation would be a series of Fractional CO2 laser treatments for smaller scars that are spread over the skin, plus spot treatment with filler injection for individual depressed ones.
