Swelling and bent lip shape with swelling to upper lip and nostril area after fillers yesterday. Is this normal?
A patient Staff asked 8 years ago I had lip fillers yesterday…my top lip appears to be bent. Looking at my nostrils they also seem like i have swelling. Is this all normal? I am so worried that my lips have been ruined. However hoping this is all swelling and will be normal soon.

Hi and thank you for your question! Swelling is common following filler injection including lip injection and it is usually not a cause for concern. Likewise, the aesthetic results can only be assessed when the swelling is gone and what you see now is not an indicator of the final look. The swelling will be resolving gradually and it should be gone within 2 weeks and by that point, you should be able to see the final results and hopefully you will be pleased. In the meanwhile, if the swelling didn’t go down or even worsened or if you experienced any new signs or symptoms, please follow up with your doctor to rule out potential complications.
