Hi and thank you for your question! The effects of Botox are temporary, so any changes made is expected to revert back to baseline gradually as the Botox wears off although some effects might last longer. For example, if masseter muscle hypertrophy is related to overusing jaw muscles, and if you get used to not using it as much once you got the Botox injection, the muscle might not grow back as large as before once the Botox has worn off unless you start overusing it again. In general, we see patients needing less number of units of Botox needed in future repeat treatments of jaw muscle as the muscle gets less bulky. I hope it helps and good luck!
