Can Botox work differently the second time you get it if you get the same amount?

I had Botox 5 days ago. I had 20 units in my 11’s and 10 in my forehead. My forehead looks fairly smooth but I have almost no result in between my eyebrows (my 11’s). I can still furrow my brow easily. I realize that Botox can take a while to see the full effect but my concern is that this is the second time I’ve had it, the first time I had the same amount and saw my 11’s completely disappear and I could not furrow my brow at all within 2 days. Why would it be so different this time ?

Botox Working Differently

Hi and thank you for your question! Yes, it is very likely for the body to respond slightly differently to the same dose because there are many other factors at play (e.g. exact location of injections, etc). This being said, you just had the injections 5 days ago and this is too early to judge the final look. You need to allow 2 weeks for the results to fully kick in and muscles to adjust to the new tone and at that time you will be able to judge the results (and most likely, your results will be quite similar to the last time although some variation is always possible). I hope it helps and good luck!
