Can I get a Hydrafacial with lupus?

I have a history of lupus that it is currently in remission. Can I get a hydrafacial? Autoimmune diseases seem to be contraindicated.

HydraFacial with Lupus

Hi and thank you for your question! While superficial skin treatments such as HydraFacials are not expected to impact the course of lupus (as long as there are no skin lesions in the treated area), autoimmune diseases such as lupus and scleroderma are listed by the manufacturer as contraindications for the treatment out of abundance of caution. If you are considering the treatment, checking it with your lupus doctor is highly recommended to see what they suggest. I hope it helps and good luck!
