I had Vollure injected in my lips & outer corners of my mouth 3 days ago. I've noticed this afternoon a deep wrinkle in the left corner of my mouth. Its giving me a "sunken" look; with my upper lip protruding a bit up & over, causing the wrinkle to form in the "valley" its formed. My upper lip is still stiff, I'm hoping it will continue to soften & the wrinkle will go away. Is this normal during the recovery process? Can wrinkles appear during the swelling process?

Wrinkle Appearing after Filler

Hi and thank you for your question! Short answer to your question is yes. You just had the filler injection 3 days ago and I you shouldn't be worried much about the look at this time. Swelling is very common following filler injection and specially in areas around the mouth and lips, it tends to create undesirable looks such as what you described that will cause panic in many patients. Please allow up to 2 weeks for all the swelling to fully subside. In vast majority of the patients, almost all concerns will go away as all the swelling is gone, but if any concerns are left at that time, please do a follow up with your physician for a reevaluation and revision if needed.
