How safe is it to get fillers in the trough? I was told by one doctor that this procedure could obstruct blood flow to the eye and cause blindness. Does the filler last longer in this area than in the nasolabial area?

Safety of Filler in Tear Troughs

Hi and thank you for your question! The area under the eyes is rich in blood vessels and other sensitive structures and performing injections in that area requires a higher level of expertise and skills. I commonly perform filler injections in most areas specially under the eyes and in the tear troughs with flexible cannula that can helps greatly with reducing the risk of complications. Please make sure to work with a cosmetic doctor with high level of experience in doing injections under the eyes and you should be fine! I hope it helps and good luck!
