Was my Voluma applied incorrectly?

Cosmetic Treatments QuestionsCategory: VolumaWas my Voluma applied incorrectly?
A patient asked 7 years ago
I received 1 vial Voluma split between each cheek, 5 days ago and one cheek looks amazing, the other looks lumpy and is creating a divet in my face. I can feel where the filler is, and there is a space between where the filler is and where the divet is. It seems, I wasn't properly injected if there are spaces causing the skin to almost pucker inside. Do I now have to get more Voluma to correct this? I would hate to spend more money for the tiny amount that would be needed to fill in that space.

Voluma Results after Five Days

Hi and thank you for your question! At 5 days post-injection, there is likely to be active swelling present in the are of injection and what you see can be related to the swelling and not necessarily the filler itself. You should wait for around 2 weeks following the injection for all the swelling to fully subside and by then if you still have any concerns, do a follow up with your doctor. At this time, you shouldn't be worried and you should wait and watch. I hope it helps and good luck!
