I am 53 y.o. healthy weight (5’6’’ 125 lbs). I had a bit of fat to remove on saddle bag area and had lipo which increased my cellulite and left some lumps that were not there before, particularly on right leg. I am not entirely happy with lipo results as I don’t find my PS removed enough either. What treatment is best to even out the results and reduce the cellulite? I read about different treatments (Velashape, Venus Legacy, Coolsculpting and Maximus TriLipo) that all claim to be the best.

Best Treatment for Cellulite

Hi and thank you for your question! You are spot on when you mention that there are so many treatments out there for cellulite and they all claim to be the "best". That's simply an indicator that we haven't been able to find the silver bullet to completely treat cellulite. Most of the treatments you mentioned work to some levels and many patients will see significant improvements but more often than not, a series of treatments will be needed and the endpoint will remain improvement vs. complete removal. I do need to add that treatments that can provide both fat reduction and skin tightening often yield the best results since these two are the core underlying issues of cellulite. At my practice, I use Venus Freeze which does it with combination of radiofrequency and magnetic pulsing. I suggest that you do a consultation at a reputable clinic and get started with one of the FDA-cleared treatments available and see how your body respond to it and go from there. I hope it helps and good luck!
