How Often Should I Get Botox Treatments?

In general, you should plan to receive BOTOX® treatments every three to four months. Each of our Newport Beach patients is different, so your specific results may vary. BOTOX works by blocking nerve impulses to the affected muscles. This helps the muscles in the injected area to relax, leaving you with a reduced appearance of wrinkles in the treatment area. You may see improvement for up to 30 days and the treatment gradually wears off over the course of a few months.

Some patients may be satisfied with their results for up to six months and some will want return every three months to keep their deep frown lines from returning. Many patients find that after repeated BOTOX injections, they do not need as many units of BOTOX as they did at first because the muscles learn to relax some on their own.
