Yesterday I was finding it hard to open my eye and today my right eye feel very dry, tears are emerging every now and then and I keep blinking. Overall it feels ‘heavy’.My appearance seems fine, no drooping of eyelids so far. The botox has worked already on my crows feet and 11 area — all lines are gone. Will this last? I can’t carry on like this for the next 3 months. I might have to take work off tomorrow as the blinking is so bad (I’m a teacher so this is a massive inconvenience).

Dry Eye following Botox

Hi and thank you for your question! While the dry eye can be an unrelated process, it can also be related to the Botox treatment. I recommend doing a follow up with your doctor. If this is indeed a side effect of botox, it will be temporary and wear off and in the meanwhile, you might need to use eye drops to help with dryness. I hope it helps and good luck!
