Fillers for acne scars? Would you recommend fillers/fat graft as a method to have a smooth appearance?
A patient asked 8 years ago Hello. I am suffering from these acne scars for years. My skin is smooth and soft to the touch, however the appearance is as if i have 'craters' on my face. Make up helps, but I have really oily skin and my scars become more visible as the day goes on. I have tried dermaroller as well as fraxel laser, nothing seems to work. Thank you so much

Hi and thank you for sharing your question here. Although fat graft can be an option for acne scar, it is not the treatment of choice considering its possible complications and unpredictable results. Alternatively, we can choose from various types of dermal fillers, which can offer better and more predictable and natural-looking results. Depending on the type of filler, the results can last for a long time, including Bellafill which is considered semi-permanent.
