What you experience is quite common: In the days following most filler injections, the results appear to be more pronounced given the presence of swelling which adds to the volume. As the swelling goes away, the volume goes down but it rarely goes back to the baseline given the presence of filler. Nonetheless, some patients might see this and think that the filler didn’t work. In cases like this, the best approach is to do a follow up with your physician and do a comparison between pictures taken before the injection and current pictures which will almost always objectively show the improvements. If you looked better during the first few days with the swelling, it is often an indicator that you would benefit from more fillers, so that is an option to consider. I hope it helps an good luck!
