A patient asked 7 years ago

I had Radiesse filler to help fill hollows in cheek area. it did nothing to fill that area but caused puffiness under the eyes or 'eye bags' ..they used some sort of lazer treatment to lesson the effect... but all that did was to cause a sunken circle under the eye emphasized by the filler below. this is very distressing. what suggestion do you have to remedy this problem?

Hi and thank you for your question! You are on right track as you treated the cheeks! For bags under the eyes, most patients see great results with skillful injection of fillers such as Belotero, Restylane or Volbella, plus some corrections in nearby areas for a more balanced and uniform transition. Please make sure to consult a physician with great experience in injections under the eyes who can show you several before and after pictures of patients treated for this condition. I highly recommend cannula technique for any injections under the eyes. I hope it helps and good luck!
