Hello, Dr. I have ice pick and rolling scars on my cheeks before, but now I am getting on my nose, chin, and forehead too. My face is becoming worse day by day. One of the doctor suggest me to take fractional/fraxel laser, and other Dr. suggested me take IPL or HeNe laser or use tretrition/retin-A, I am afraid of using creams and taking laser treatment coz my skin is very sensitive. Please suggest me the best treatment to get rid of all scars and pimples and darkspots

Treatment for Scars

Hi and thank you for your question! While an in-person consultation is needed to be able to tell for sure, in most cases a combination of Fractional CO2 laser across the face and spot treatment of deep individual scars with filler injection works best. In patients with darker skin tones, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH) is relatively common following CO2 laser and hence a prep treatment with a bleaching cream is highly recommended.
