I got Halo last year for collagen stimulation and resurfacing but am wondering if CO2 laser is more effective? In terms of which laser is ultimately “better” for my skin type and addressing signs of aging, which is reigns supreme? In case it matters: I don’t care what the downtime, price difference or level of pain is – really looking for what’s most effective.
Hi and thank you for your question! Both Fractional CO2 laser and HALO are good choices for collagen stimulation and skin rejuvenation. However, if your main goal is collagen stimulation, the more effective treatment is Ultherapy which uses high-energy ultrasound to specifically target the collagen layers in skin and stimulate new collagen. Please note that for best results, you can use a combination of treatments, for example Ultherapy for a deep collagen boost and a laser such as CO2 or HALO (or possibly RF-needling) for additional boost as well as help with improving skin tone and texture. I hope it helps and good luck!
