How Is the Endolift Treatment Done?

For most patients, the Endolift journey begins with scheduling a consultation to make sure Endolift treatment is the right option for you and to provide you with important pre- and post-treatment care info and other details. Once the consultation is done and when you are ready, we will schedule your treatment session with Dr. Jafari.

On the day of your treatment, we typically ask you to come in 30 minutes earlier to apply the topical numbing. Additional topical aesthetic will be applied right before the procedure (and as needed, during the Endolift procedure by your doctor).

As you are lying comfortably on the treatment bed and with topical anesthetics agents kicking in, Dr. Jafari starts by making a small, pin-size entry using a needle and she inserts the flexible, single-use Endolift laser fiber into your skin. Similar to a cannula that Dr. Jafari commonly uses for filler injections, the flexible fiber moves and slides freely and smoothly between the layers of skin without cutting or puncturing any structure and the process is pretty much pain-free. Some patients might feel some pressure as the laser fiber moves under their skin.

As Dr. Jafari moves the laser fiber under the skin, the laser pulse is generated in the Endolift system and is delivered through the fiber and released through its tip into the adjacent tissue. The laser pulse generates heat which directly affect the tissues causing contraction and tightening of the sagging and loose tissues and activating natural healing and rejuvenating pathways.

Using the same small entry point, Dr. Jafari can reach several areas in different directions to deliver the laser pulse. This ensures that the energy delivery is maximized to the target tissues as the laser is delivered directly to the target without the need to pass through several skin layers.

When the treatment is completed, the laser fiber is removed from the skin. Some patients may experience some bruising. Swelling is relatively common and might last up to 1-2 weeks (individual patient experience might vary). Some results might be evident immediately as the loose tissues are tightened during the procedure but other results tend to appear gradually and over the next 3-6 months as tissue restructuring and rejuvenation continues. The treatment can be repeated if desired as early as 6 months later.
