So I’m currently still using my Tretinoin Cream 0.1% and I don’t see much a difference lately. I don’t know if I need a stronger prescription or what? But I want to get rid of my inflammatory acne and scars? I’m also recently starting to use tea tree oil.

A Better Treatment for Acne Scar

Hi and thank you for your question! While the treatment for acne scar depends on the shape of the scars, for many fractional CO2 laser is the most effective treatment and you might also consider that. Please bear in mind that in presence of active acne, your focus should be first on controlling and eliminating the active acne problem, as that will prevent new scars from forming (prevention is the best treatment!). Also, some patients might experience temporary break outs after fractional CO2 and hence, you want to make sure the active acne is addressed first. I hope it helps and good luck!
