After my lip filler I had bumps on my upper lip and above it, the injection was 8 years ago and they are there until now and the do hurt if I touch them also below my lower lip on both sides. I suspect it is a cheap material not Juvederm or rasteline

Lumps after Lip Filler

Hi and thank you for your question! We only recommend hyaluronic acid fillers for the lips as they tend not to cause lumps and any undesirable results can easily be corrected with enzyme injection. Lumps persisting 8 years after lip injection can be unrelated to filler, or indicative of non-hyaluronic acid fillers. An example is Radiesse that is not recommend for lips, as it can lead to lumps. Although I am not sure if even Radiesse can last this long, an x-ray can show if it is present in lips. Please consult an experienced cosmetic doctor for an accurate assessment and possible referral for further investigation. I hope it helps and good luck!
