Hello. I’m male, 25 years of age, and battling acne scars since the age of 17 and I’m now in the position of getting some treatment. My scars are on both sides of my cheecks and temple area. I uploaded some pictures from different angels with light comming from above. I think I have Fitzpatrick Scale Skin Color 4 or 5. I have most of my acne scars now for 7-8 years.

Best Treatment for Acne Scars

 
Hi and thank you for your question! Based on the pictures, the first treatment to recommend is Fractional CO2 laser treatment. You might need to undergo several rounds of it for best results. Also given your skin type, you might be at increased risk of hyperpigmentation (PIH) following the laser treatment hence you will most likely need to use a brightening cream concurrently with the laser treatments. Some deeper individual scars might also be treated with filler injection. I hope it helps and good luck!
