I am not currently pregnant and have an appointment to get lip injections/filler in a few days. All the forms I’m filling out for my Dr. keep asking if I’m pregnant or planning to become pregnant. I am hoping to be pregnant in the next couple of months.
Filler Injection Prior to Pregnancy
Hi and thank you for your question! As a general rule we avoid doing cosmetic treatments on women who are pregnant, planning to become pregnant or breast feeding. This is not because the treatments will necessarily pose a risk to fetus, but as elective procedures there really is no need to rush them and it’s always better to wait. If you know for sure that you are not pregnant, it might be ok but otherwise, it is advisable to postpone cosmetic treatment to later and after the pregnancy and breast feeding. I hope it helps and good luck!
